Dear parent / guardian, staff and pupils,
Covid update and to confirm:
Covid tests should now be used if the individual has symptoms, and no regular testing is needed. A Covid test is only required if the individual has symptoms.
I will not be sending you a 'Warn and Inform' letter if there are cases of Covid at the school. However, if we see a high pattern of positive cases in some classes then I will be sending a letter for information to parents.
The national advice on self-isolation continues to state that the self-isolation period remains at 5 days. It is not necessary to carry out 2 negative tests before returning to school but individuals should not return to school if they continue to have a high temperature.
- Show Siani Sionc - On the 3rd of October Mrs Howells' class Nursery, Miss Waters' Reception, Years 1 and 2 Miss Harris` class are invited to go and see the Siani Sionc Show in Llangrannog for £5.
- P.E – every Tuesday. Pupils to come in their P.E. uniform.
- Swimming – Miss Waters` class / Y Gorlan (reception class) continue swimming lessons on Thursdays; for a donation of £10 please for the 6 weeks.
- Bikes / Scooters – please can children use their day for bringing either a scooter or a bike:

5. Reminder for Urdd Camp Llangrannog – Year 5 and 6 (Mrs Hughes` class)
We therefore kindly request that you send the attached form back to the school as soon as possible with a deposit of £30 by 3rd of October 2022.

6. WHY NOT BECOME AN URDD GOBAITH CYMRU MEMBER?
How to join? Follow the link Ymuno | Urdd Gobaith Cymru If your child joined last year the renewal process is simple! Go into the Portal, check the details and then click 'Renew Membership' next to the name of the member concerned and then on to pay. If joining for the first time, you will need to create a profile within in the Portal in order to start the process. Afterwards add the member details and then on to pay. After adding and paying for your children will become members, you can return to the Portal at any time to check details and over the next few months all Urdd activities and competitions will move to the Portal, too.

Once you have joined, a membership badge will be issued to the member. There will be no membership cards this year. If you joined last year the renewal process is simple. 7. Clwb Cwtsh’, a Mudiad Meithrin programme which is available once again this year and which may be of interest to parents/carers and your wider local community.
#ClwbCwtsh is a short, fully funded informal 8-week Welsh taster programme focussed on speaking Welsh with young children and is aimed at parents to be, parents/carers, members of the extended family. Learners won’t need any Welsh to join. The course is provided on-line so learners can join from the comfort of their sofa, and by now we are offering some face-to-face courses too, depending on area.
The exact dates and locations will be shared with you again via social media and will be available on our website www.meithrin.cymru/clwb-cwtsh, but the start date for the next course is 19th September 2022.
