- On behalf of the school and the governing body, we wish Mrs Emma Hughes well and thank her for all of her work with years 5 and 6.
- Please see attached poster on a parent`s project to increase space for growing fresh vegetables to help low Income families in the area which a crowdfunding page also has been set up.
- Free schools meals for year 3 and 4 school pupils:
April 2023 will see the extension of free school meals to year 3 and 4 pupils in Ceredigion schools.
Following Welsh Government funding, Ceredigion County Council rolled out the first phase of Universal Free School Meals to all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and 2 in September 2022, as part of the Government’s scheme to offer free school meals to all primary school pupils by September 2024.
From Monday 17 April 2023, the second phase of the roll out will see pupils in years 3 and 4 also being eligible to receive free school meals.
In response to the continued increase in the cost of living, this is a positive step forward in ensuring that no child goes hungry while in school and tackling poverty in our County.
The Council and Welsh Government are committed to implementing this scheme quickly and would ask for your patience as we build catering capacity to ensure a successful phased implementation and work towards a whole school roll-out over the next three years.
