Dear parent / guardian, staff and pupils,

• Message from Mrs Jane Stanford: “Some of you will now be aware that I have set up a what's app community for the parents of children at Ysgol Cenarth. Within the community there are chat groups for each class. Once you join the community you can then choose to join groups from there. The purpose of the groups is for reminders like 'don't forget it's non uniform today', parties, quick queries, and generally to keep in touch more easily as parents. Those of you currently in the group for Bl1 can hopefully attest to how useful it is. If anyone would like to join please message me (Jane Stanford 07807754808) and I'll send you the link to join."

P.E. – on Tuesdays. Pupils to wear appropriate P.E. clothing. 

Swimming: there will be swimming lessons beginning next week on every Tuesday for 10 weeks for £12 (for the bus) please for Miss Harris` class Dosbarth y Bont and Dosbarth y Ffrydiau (Mrs Howells / Miss Carruthers);

and every Thursday for 10 weeks for £12 for Miss Williams` class Dosbarth y Ffynnon and Miss Waters` Dosbarth y Berllan.

Dosbarth y Bont: Miss Harris will be taking her class to Cenarth`s Coracle Museum on Monday afternoon and will need the data form to be returned and a contribution of £2.

AUTUMN PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION: Can you capture the beauty of the season? Make the vibrant autumnal colours shine bright? Or catch a glimpse of our animal friends and environment? 

We have a photography competition on the theme Autumn season.

The theme for each class:

Dosbarth y Gorlan - Autumn

Dosbarth y Ffrydiau – trees in autumn

Dosbarth y Bont – plants in autumn

Dosbarth y Ffynnon – creatures in autumn

Dosbarth y Berllan – any living organism ie lichen, fungi, insects, mammals, in autumn

Closing date 20 October 2023.

• Each entrant can submit a maximum of three photos.

• All entries must be received by the closing dates and times. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. Photos should be sent to me as an email or as a hard copy. One winner from each class will receive a £20 token.

• URDD- Attached is Urdd`s Poster for joining the Urdd and a QR code.

Also attached are the details for Cogurdd competition.

COGURDD – 21/9/23  A great opportunity for the pupils of year 4, 5 and 6 Cenarth School to take part in an Urdd Cooking Competition. This competition is optional.

The first round will be held at School on Thursday 28th of September.

Your child will need to bring the equipment and ingredients to school ready for the first round.
